About Metropolitan Golf Club in Mouille Point, Cape Town
The Metropolitan Golf Club (the Met) is Cape Town's city golf club in Mouille Point, founded in 1895 as the Green and Sea Point Golf Club, on Fritz Sonnenberg Road beside Green Point Urban Park and Cape Town Stadium.
Mark Muller redesigned the course for its 2010 reopening: nine holes played to 14 separate greens with dual tees for a full 18-hole, par-71 round, finishing with a signature par 3 over water to a green below the clubhouse.
The club also has PGA coaching with two indoor swing studios and launch monitors, warm-up nets, a putting green and indoor simulators, a halfway house, the 19th bar and restaurant, and a function venue for up to 80 guests.
The halfway house opens from 06:30, and the 19th serves food 11:00–21:00 in season and 11:00–19:00 off-season.
