About Kloof Country Club in Kloof, Durban
Kloof Country Club is a centenary members' club in Kloof in Durban's Upper Highway, built around an 18-hole parkland golf course first laid out in 1926 that hosts the KZN Champion of Champions.
As well as golf, with a warm-up range, chipping and putting greens and a pro shop, you can play tennis on four courts, squash on three courts and padel on four outdoor courts, and the club also has a cricket oval, a running club with Thursday-evening time trials, a members' pool and a fenced kids' play area.
The clubhouse and Mamma Luciana's Italian restaurant are open daily from 08:00 to 22:00 for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the Leopard Bar, the Greenside Bunker bar and a halfway house also on site.
The course is open Tuesday to Sunday from 06:30 and Mondays from about 11:00, closing at 17:00 in summer and 16:30 in winter, and padel runs Monday to Saturday from 06:00 to 22:00.
